Family & Children's Place meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
To protect and heal children and families.
Year, State Incorporated:
1958, KY
Family & Children’s Place offers five services. The HANDS program helps new and expectant parents by offering additional support to help them navigate the challenges of raising a child. Greater Louisville Head Start helps pregnant mothers and children up to age 5 prepare for success in school and beyond. When a child is reported to be a victim of abuse, neglect, or maltreatment, the child and a non-offending caregiver are referred to the Kosair for Kids Child Advocacy Center by child protective services or a law enforcement agency. School-based programs focus on more than just homework. They also provide social-emotional support, substance abuse prevention education, mental health, family engagement, and more. The nonprofit offers realistic hope for healing through free individual, family, group, or school-based counseling for the entire family.
