enCourage Kids Foundation meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Stated Purpose:

enCourage Kids Foundation helps humanize healthcare for children and their families by resourcing impact-driven pediatric programs and supporting the Child Life Community.

Year, State Incorporated:
1987, NY

For more than 30 years, enCourage Kids Foundation has helped to humanized healthcare for millions of children and their families. We envision a world where every child – regardless of the difficult of his or her medical journey – experiences joy, hope, resilience, and healing.

We work to improve the hospital experience and psycho-social well-being of pediatric patients through impact-driven pediatric programs and by supporting the Child Life Community.

Most of the programs enCourage Kids Foundation brings to children in the hospital, such as cuddly Bears, hospital parties, and clown and music sessions are typically not covered by the hospital budget, but provide many remarkable benefits for both patients and hospitals. These include improved emotional well-being, better willingness to comply with treatment, quicker recovery, and shorter hospital stays. In addition, since 1996, we have awarded $15,554,644 in direct funding for 859 projects for hospitals around the country. With this funding, they are able to complete crucial programs, such as creative arts therapies, hospital admission and comfort kits, renovations, and implementing new technology, that they typically don’t have the budget for.
