CASA of Graves County & Southwest KY is a volunteer driven program that recruits, screens, trains, and supports volunteers that are appointed by judges to advocate for abused, neglected, and dependent children of Graves, Carlisle, Fulton, and Hickman Counties. CASA provides the court with information that is learned through contact with the child and their parents, caregivers, teachers, etc. and then makes best interest recommendations to the court concerning the child’s needs and permanency plan. CASA volunteers monitor the child’s situation while they are in foster or relative care to ensure their psychological, physical, and educational needs are being met. CASA provides court advocacy until a safe, stable, and permanent home for the child is achieved.
