Founded in 1939, Cal Farley's Boys Ranch is a 501(c)3 organization and one of the largest privately funded child and family service organizations in the United States. In a history spanning more than 80 years, Boys Ranch has provided residential care to more than 10,000 children in a Christ-centered environment at no cost to the families it serves and without seeking state or federal funding for its work. Boys Ranch makes a lifelong commitment to the hundreds of children it serves each year, empowering their growth into productive citizens by providing care prioritizes the universal human needs embodied in Cal Farley's Model of Leadership & Service(r): safety, belonging, achievement, power, purpose and adventure. Because Boys Ranch offers its life-changing services at no cost, the only factor that determines the programs or services available to a family in crisis is their child's unique needs. As a result, Boys Ranch is able to focus on helping children and families cope with emotional wounds, better equipping the family to face life's inevitable challenges and preparing children to become successful, productive citizens.
