Also Known As:
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana

Ronald McDonald House

The House provides a place to stay at no cost for families of children receiving medical care and treatment in Louisville, including parents, children receiving outpatient treatment, siblings, and other family members. By easing the financial and emotional burdens of caregivers and by taking care of important practical needs, the House allows parents to focus entirely on caring for their children. Amenities include:

•Daily hot meals, plus brunch on weekends
•Laundry facilities
•56 bedrooms with private bathrooms
•Indoor and outdoor play areas for children
•Coordinated transportation to and from downtown hospitals
•Daily family activities

Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms

RMHCK operates a 4-bedroom facility within Norton Women and Childrens Hospital in St. Matthews, a 4-bed semi-private space within Norton Childrens Hospital Downtown, and a daytime-only family room in Frazier Rehab Hospital Downtown. The Family Room spaces provide a private area of comfort for pediatric families because RMHCK knows that a quiet place to fellowship with family, a warm cup of coffee, and a private space to take a nap to sleep overnight can make the day a little less hard; and sometimes a little less hard” is enough.

Hospitality Cart

RMHCK operates two hospitality carts on the 1st and 3rd floors of the Novak Center for Childrens Health during designated hours twice per month. Families and children can stop by the cart to receive a nutritious snack, drink, and childrens activities while theyre waiting for medical appointments in the building.
