Inheritance of Hope meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
"to inspire hope in young families facing the loss of a parent."
Year, State Incorporated:
2007, SC
Inheritance of Hope (IOH) is dedicated to serving young families facing the loss of a parent due to a terminal illness. The organization reports that it provides comprehensive, long-term care through a continuum of programs. Legacy Retreats® offer experiences where families build lasting memories, receive resources and support through facilitated groups, and connect with others walking a similar path. Hope@Home™ Groups aim to create consistent, online community and encouragement throughout the year no matter where families live, with just one click. Hope Hub™ brings monthly, in-person connection to cities across the country, mobilizing volunteers and building local support networks. Additional support and family care include mentoring, bereavement support, and customized resources for all ages. IOH states that it serves families earlier—before a loss occurs—so children, caregivers, and spouses can build resilience, preserve legacies, and find community. Every program is offered at no cost to families, removing financial barriers during an already overwhelming season.
