Louisville Youth Choir meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Stated Purpose:
The Louisville Youth Choir creates stars of today by supporting and enhancing school music programs and by servicing unmet artistic needs in the community. Through its diverse population, programs, and music, Louisville Youth Choir’s leaders of tomorrow learn discipline, self-confidence, leadership, and teamwork.

Year, State Incorporated:
1968, KY

As a community-based organization, Louisville Youth Choir draws children, youth, and adults from over 60 schools and diverse neighborhoods throughout the metropolitan area, surrounding Kentucky counties and Southern Indiana. Its music repertoire includes many styles and cultures, including major classic and modern works with orchestra and soloists. It offers a choral music experience unique in the region. The nonprofit’s programs consist of weekly after-school instruction, during school residencies and workshops, tailor-made programs for area community centers and youth partner organizations, and varied performances throughout the region. Its programs are open to all and through its “No Song Unsung” Initiative, no one is turned away for inability to pay for services. The nonprofit proudly “creates stars of today…leaders of tomorrow!”
