Stated Purpose:
The mission of KRFC 88.9 FM is to make great radio that Entertains, Informs, and Inspires and is volunteer-powered. As a non-profit community radio station, KRFC is devoted to the livelihood of our region and beyond including our entire listenership with programming that showcases the Colorado music scene and thoughtful community information. Run by a small staff and a committed base of 190 volunteers, our goal is to be a resource for regional organizations and musicians - creating a communication conduit into our community.

Celebrating 19 years on-air in Northern Colorado this year, KRFC 88.9 FM provides around-the-clock music and information through the efforts of over 190 volunteers supported by a handful of staff and consultants. Its programming is created and delivered by locals and is a trusted resource for community news and programming. Programs include its NoCo Flow mix, which highlights the incredible musical talent in our state and the Colorado music scene generally. KRFC is also proud to have specialty music shows including Americana, Rock n Roll, Celtic, Classical, Jazz, and more. Also, KRFC is proud to air Community Programming that is positive, uplifting, thought-provoking and informative.
