Since 1968, the Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for Summit County’s victims of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment and stray animals suffering from illness and injury. HSSC provides each rescued animal with the necessary veterinary care and rehabilitation required to give them a chance at happy, healthy lives. HSSC provides its community with pet adoption services, discounted adoption fee programs for seniors and veterans, free humane education programs, public canine behavioral training courses, and pet food assistance through community collaborations.
