Horizons for Homeless Children (HHC) reports that it offers a two-generation approach to improve the lives of homeless children in Massachusetts. The organization operates an early education center with 22 classrooms, a library, STEM lab, and two outdoor playgrounds. HHC’s Playspace program installs and operates trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate child-centered rooms in partner shelters, where children can express themselves and build relationships. The organization’s Family Partnerships program offers parents experiencing homelessness a Family Coaching Specialist, who supports the families and coordinates services with outside agencies.
