Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) obtains and distributes food and other necessities to more than 800 community partners. The organization directly serves communities across Colorado and Wyoming through multiple programs, including mobile food pantries, Food for Kids, Culturally Responsive Food Initiative (CRFI), FRESH Program, grocery rescue, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), and EverGreen Boxes. CRFI works to remove barriers for clients who may have unique food preferences and needs, language barriers, or uncertainty about eligibility. The FRESH program sources produce from in- and out-of-state producers for distribution to community partners at no cost. FBR reports that in 2023, it distributed 94,133,223 pounds of food, served 417,317 individuals, with the support of 148,398 volunteer hours.
