Every September, NEEF holds their annual National Public Lands Day event that engages volunteers in service at public land sites across the nation. The K-12 program works to create an environmentally conscious and responsible public through environmental education programs and initiatives. The Greening STEM model engages students at high-need schools in hands-on environmental investigations in their communities with the goal to make STEM relevant and connected to the student's lives. NEEF's health and wellness programs provide resources and training for health care providers so that they may utilize the environment to improve patient outcomes.
