PSSs Older Adult Centers are 10 physical community-based locations, in the Bronx (7) and Manhattan (3) providing a range of critical services – meals / social & cultural events / educational & healthy living activities in both English, and Spanish where needed. The majority of our Center Members are minority women of color who live at, or below, the low-income level; a significant number of our clients are Spanish-speaking.

PSS Circle of Care offers no-cost short-term kinship care services to New York City family members or friends caring for someone who is frail, chronically ill or has memory loss. These include providing individual consultations and caregiver resources; coordinating temporary time off with care inside or outside the home; leading caregiver support groups and activities such as Memory Cafés for caregivers and care receivers to participate in together.

PSS Community Social Services provides a broad range of social services to and advocacy for older adults and their families across four NYC boroughs, such as - connections to home health-aide services, home-delivered meals, and benefits or entitlements; information, resources, education and outreach events for OAs, and community members with qualifying disabilities; or social supports and advocacy to prevent elder abuse and eviction, and assistance with insurance and benefits.

PSS Alberta L. Alston House is a 151-unit low-income independent living complex in Corona, Queens serving adults over age 60 and others with mobility impairments. It provides not only living space but ongoing age and ability-appropriate programming for all its residents.
