Panzi Foundation meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
"to reduce the prevalence and impact of sexual and gender-based violence through holistic care and community outreach, promoting a more equitable and dignified future for all."
Year, State Incorporated:
2008, DE
Formerly Known As:
Panzi Hospital Foundation
As reported by the Panzi Foundation (Panzi), the organization has established mobile clinics, a transitional care and community center, and One Stop Centers (OSCs) based on a holistic-care model, to provide care and support for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Panzi offers medical care, psychosocial assistance, legal support, and socioeconomic reintegration, all delivered through OSCs for easier access for survivors' needs. There are multiple OSCs and mobile clinics across the DRC in order for these services to reach survivors in both remote rural areas and peri-urban communities, where medical institutions are inaccessible. Panzi reports that the foundation supports these OSCs by working with the public sector and other institutional partners which operate dozens of these centers. Additionally, Panzi reports that the foundation's community center, Maison Dorcas, provides vocational training and life skills, education and childcare, literacy and numeracy, economic resources, and safe accommodation. In 2024, 3,329 survivors received medical treatment across all Panzi programs.
For the year ended December 31, 2024, Panzi Foundation's program expenses were:
| Program services | $2,419,879 |
| Total Program Expenses | $2,419,879 |
