The Up Side of Downs (USOD) serves people with Down syndrome and their families in 16 counties throughout Northeast Ohio. The organization offers support groups, including Moms Night, Grandparents Group, DADS Group, and other support groups for toddlers, siblings, and people facing dual diagnoses of Downs and Alzheimer?s. USOD?S Mind?Body?Soul program provides life skills training and ongoing social opportunities for adults with Down syndrome. The organization also offers social outings for individuals of all ages and their families and provides family grants for medical and recreational therapy needs. USOD?s educational enrichment programs support toddlers (Little Achievers), preschool through Grade 6 (The Learning Program) and high school students (TEEN). The organization also provides free training about Down syndrome to teachers and other professionals at schools, churches, and businesses; as well as hands-on presentations on Down syndrome to classroom peers. USOD advocates on behalf of people with Down syndrome and their families, hosts annual Buddy Walks, and celebrates Cleveland Down Syndrome Day and World Down Syndrome Day. USOD?s Artful 21 store offers items made by 29 artisans with Down syndrome
