Spina Bifida Association of America (SBAA) reports that it promotes the prevention of Spina Bifida through its research, advocacy, education, and support programs. In 2016, the organization states that it partnered with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to complete its provider and patient wound care education campaign called Did You Look? SBAA launched its Adult Spina Bifida Survey, collecting demographic, behavioral, and health care information from more than 1,000 respondents, allowing care providers to use the data to develop plans to improve care.
