ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation (ASK) works to make life better for children with cancer and their families through psychosocial, financial and educational support from the moment of diagnosis through treatment and beyond. Services are provided to children, from infant to 18-year-old, who are treated at the Children?s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Comprehensive psychosocial support services are delivered by a team of therapeutic experts comprised of a chaplain, a child life therapist and a pediatric psychologist. ASK also offers offsite services for children who are no longer in active treatment, including: a preschool program; homework help and socialization; online tutoring and mentoring; career and workforce coaching; summer enrichment programs; and a high school graduation program with scholarship awards. The organization also provides social events to help children and families bond with others going through the same experience.
