VH1 Save the Music Foundation meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
VH1 Save The Music Foundation (The Foundation) reports that it works to address inequities in the availability of music education for students in the American public school system through restoring instrumental music programs and raising public awareness about the importance of music education. Through partnerships with school districts, the organization provides new musical instruments, equipment, method books, professional development, and program support to public elementary, middle, and high schools. The organization offers four types of grant packages to public schools based on grade level, need, and the school's music programming goals. The Foundation also offers educational workshops at national and regional art conferences on the importance of music education and works with local policy leaders to increase the number of public schools to be eligible for its restoration of music program. In 2019, the organization states that it distributed 27 grant packages to public schools across the United States.
