BBB Charity Accreditation

Look for the green check mark on our charity reports, indicating that the organization has been found to meet all 20 of the BBB Standards for Charity Accountability.

There is no charge to charities for the accountability assessment. Charities complete a detailed online questionnaire, including information about internal governance policies, financial statements, and solicitation practices. After BBB WGA staff completes its analysis, the charity receives a draft report and is provided an opportunity to respond to any initial findings. The completed report is posted on Give.org for two years but can be amended based on new information provided.

BBB Accredited Charity Seal

BBB Accredited Charities have the option of obtaining a license, for a sliding scale annual fee, that authorizes the charity to display the BBB Accredited Charity Seal on their websites and in promotional materials.

Participation in this charity seal program is wholly voluntary. A report on a charity that meets all BBB Charity Standards will be designated as a BBB Accredited Charity whether or not the charity chooses to license the seal.

To find a charity report on Give.org, use the search engine on our homepage.
